As a club more associated with DJing than live music, Audio is more used to hosting house, drum and bass and dubstep sessions rather than bands. As a gig venue, its main problem is that it’s annoyingly wide; meaning if it’s full you’d better be in the middle or on the far side, away from the entrance, or you won’t see a damn thing.
It’s also as dark as hell in there, so have your phone handy if you don’t want to land on your arse on the way in. The would be embarrassing.
The bar’s not great, serving the usual Red Stripe, Fosters, Guinness, Strongbow, all in cans for £4. Oh, and the bouncers tend to be strict and will have no reservations about robbing you of any concealed refreshments (not that I condone that sort of behaviour).
